Dear Cade,

I’m just beginning to write my story, it’s just for you to look back on and read when your Gigi is an old,iced tea drinkin’, rockin’ chair sitting Gigi. At first, your Momma and Daddy will read the stories to you and as you become a big boy, this will be your special book from Gigi.

These anecdotes will be my story of how I fought to be here, and how my heart exploded when you were born 9 days after my transplant and how I fought so hard to get home to meet you. I knew that I would love you so incredibly much, my heart just nearly stops when you smile and laugh! You have such wonderful curiosity! I often wonder what exactly you are thinking when I try to smooch your cheeks or do some silly attempt at making you giggle!

I love you so much, bubs! So very much that I will keep fighting every single day to be the best I can be!
